Managing Anger & emotional Resistance |
Anger is a very common form of emotional resistance response whenever we confront change. We all get angry, yet it is still an emotion many are uncomfortable with; this course is designed to help you understand anger from a personal perspective and how we can manage both anger and other forms of emotional resistance often put up in times of stress or great change. |
Workshop Brief |
Upon completion of the course participants will…
I. be able to identify various styles of emotional resistance;
II. the common use of anger (both extreme and subtle) to get what we want; and
III. how to communicate with people in a way that meets their emotional resistant needs and your need to get on with the job. |
Skills training & motivation |
The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with the opportunity to explore different emotional triggers for individuals and how we unwittingly operate from these emotional mindsets. This natural response often causes distress and difficulty for others within our lives; making it hard for managers to manage and teams to grow. This workshop is very experiential and best facilitated over a full day of structured learning. As anger is a very challenging emotion it is best that the program be spaced out in a way that enables participants to experience the emotion but also calm down in a safe place. The program is best facilitated in a workshop format with no more then 30 participants and no less than 12. |
